DD #7: Goood Day

Hi fellas.
This time I drank some liquid brain enhancements *g* and sketched like a damn pirate paddling for his life! The 30 Secs are really good Basic Lessons.
Note: Need to check general props by base bodies.

DD #6: Bad Day

This day was just impossibly weird.
I didn't learn lot about sketching, but I know now, that one needs much concentration for sketching - after shopping, training and such stuff you cant't sit one more hour on some sketch lesson... See the results: that cries for punishment *evil*

DD #5: The Pricky Pen

... and the experimental odysee goes on! Today: Black Ink Pen, first speedy on 30 Secs, than fine outline tests. Pens are awesome.

// 35x 30 SECS + 3x 180 SECS (PM): ~45 Min. // DIN A4 // Ink

DD #4: Pose Turntable!

This time I tried to capture each pose from different perspectives - everytime searching for aesthetical figures. I guess I learned something about the volume of a body and the female hips *g*. Incredible Anatomy!

// 48x ~70 SECS (PM): 60 Min. // DIN A4 // Fineliner 0.4

DD #3: Upgrate To 60

On real paper drawing is much more intuitive, so this week will be drawn with pencil and such stuff. I upgraded to 60 Secs to regain the relaxing native effect of sketching afterworks! - and see what difference!
This Time 70 Times the 60 Seconds Round - over one hour! What geek i'm growing to be.
// 70x 60 SECS (PM): 70 Min. // DIN A4 // Fineliner 0.4

DD #1: Fast Sketching!

This is the officially first Daily Doodle!

I started the "grand race for godlike drawing skills" by testing my new beginner's graphic tablet called "Bamboo" (by Wacom) on the well known Posemaniacs lesson: sketching one human pose per 30 seconds - 57 times today. The speed and quick success is addictive!
This fast sketching discipline is used to teach you general human proportions and to find a quick and accurate stroke. A good stroke is everything!

Tomorrow I will do the same "lesson" by using a real pencil. Just to see if it makes a difference, maybe I need to fix on one or another media.

This week's Daily Doodle Theme will be: Daily Experiments on Techniques and Lessons.
(aiming at finding the right way through the grand race)

// 57 x 30 SECS (PM): 32 Min. // PS_A5-200dpi // hbrush:4pt

Sunday Special

Today I brought some LIVE reference ;)

what's that all about

Hi Peepz.

You know, many people got things to do, that they do not really like to do - in spite of knowing that those things are true and necessary. Most of those people are young adults. Most of those things are advices of their parents, teachers - officially wiser people. When they get older they learn to invent such advices by themselves. One might think people only live to invent and follow advices.

However, my case is alike but special: I'm about to study and I have the dream of becoming a good graphic designer once. And I would like to have extraordinary drawing skills, not only because they are the perfect basis for nearly every design job one could do - they are a must. Most artists agree: to gain good drawing skills, you need 10% talent and 90% practice, provided that you have the time. So, you see, for me, in my case it would be a good advice to practice daily. In the last year, 2008 I could not find the necessary motivation and force the noble self-advice through the dark forest of happenings and dullness. The funny thing is: drawing is real fun for me but there is so much more interesting and occupying. Time to change priorities!

This time it will work. I believe, I know it.
This diary will prove my progress and push me forward.
